The first ever official PUBG tournament was announced
PUBG Corporation has made a powerful move towards making its Battle Royale shooting game a proper Esports discipline—an official PUBG tournament was announced. This may become the start of a huge and very prestigious PUBG Esports League!
The name of the event is PUBG Global Invitational 2018. It will take place in Berlin, Germany on July 25–29. The prize pool is rather impressive—$2,000,000!
Such a prize is quite the motivation for world-famous teams to participate in battles! We’ll see 20 PUBG teams on this Global Invitational. They will win their “tickets” in qualifiers.
The organizers will invite different numbers of teams from different regions.
The PUBG Global Invitational 2018 is a landmark moment for PUBG Corp. as a showcase of the potential of PUBG Esports,
says Changhan Kim, CEO of PUBG Corp.
So far, we know just a few facts about the upcoming tournament:
- It will consist of squad battles with four players in teams.
- There will be two divisions with a winner in each; battles with the third person perspective (TPP) will take place on July 25–26, and matches with the first person perspective (FPP) on July 28–29.
