Intel Extreme Masters Season XIII – results, video

A big CS:GO tournament took place in Sydney, Australia, on May 1-6. We saw exciting matches featuring 16 teams, which fought for the prize pool of $250,000

IEM XIII is part the Intel Grand Slamcompetition. It includes premium Esports events organized by ESL and DreamHack. The first team to get four victories in those tournaments will get $1,000,000. This money will be given directly to the players.

Intel Extreme Masters Season XIII – results, video

Matches in the Group Stage were held from 1st to 3rd of May. The main results were:

  • TyLoo and Astralis got “tickets” directly to the Semifinals;
  • Fnatic, FaZe Clan, mousesports, and Renegades entered the Quarterfinals.

The Playoff matches happened on May 4-6.

In the Quarterfinals:

  • FaZe Clan defeated Fnatic 2:0. They played on: Cache, Mirage;
  • mousesports defeated Renegades 2:1. They played on: Mirage, Inferno, Train.

In the Semifinals:

  • FaZe Clan defeated TyLoo 2:0. They played on: Cache, Inferno, Mirage;
  • Astralis defeated mousesports 2:1. They played on: Dust II, Inferno, Cache.

In the Grandfinal

  • FaZe Clan won the match versus Astralis 3:0 (Cache, Overpass, Train).

So, the final results of Intel Extreme Masters Season XIII are:

  1. FaZe Clan – the winners, $100,000;
  2. Astralis – 2nd place, $42,000;
  3. TyLoo and mousesports – 3rd and 4th places, $20,000;
  4. Fnatic and Renegades – 5th and 6th places, $10,000;
  5. Cloud9 and G2 Esports – 7th and 8th places, $6,000;
  6. ORDER, Grayhound Gaming, NRG Esports, and MVP PK – 9th-12th places, $5,000;
  7. Legacy Esports, SK Gaming, B.O.O.T-dream[S]cape, and Chiefs eSports Club – 13th-16th places, $5,000.

Following this tournament, FaZe Clan now has two victories in Intel Grand Slam. Their main competitor is SK Gaming. Astralis, the winner of DreamHack Masters Marseille, has one victory thus far.

The next chance for these and other CS:GO teams will be in the Finals of ESL Pro League Season 7.
